Position Overview
We are seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee the development, integration, and validation of in-vehicle wireless charger for mobile devices. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical liaison between the engineering teams, OEMs, and suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Identify and manage all project development qualities during and after development
- Resolving Software & Hardware issues and communicate the customer to handle the issues.
- Coach and mentor engineer's, one-stop-shop for OEM customers and internal people.
- Manage OEM customer design request, develop APQP and manage 3rd party solution.
- Develop a feature (if necessary, multiple functions).
- Development planning as well as managing multiple feature development milestone
- Support to resolve both business, manufacturing, and technical issues
- Support cross-functional teams Validation, Manufacturing, procurement/Purchasing, Sales and Quality, customers
- Communicate with HQ in S. Korea cross-functional teams not limited to program
- Release weekly development progress report and communicate with customer's engineers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- +3 years of experience in automotive electronics or wireless charging systems development.
- Familiarity with Qi wireless charging standards, automotive EMC/EMI requirements, and CAN communication protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in debugging hardware/software integration issues.
- Ability to work independently at the customer’s site and manage multiple technical tasks.
- Experience with automotive testing tools such as Vector CANoe, oscilloscopes, and thermal analysis tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes (APQP, DFMEA, PPAP).
- Experience with wireless power transfer (WPT) technologies and charging coil design.
- Background in automotive software (MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++) for system modeling and simulation.
- Tier 1 Automotive experience
- Bilingual in Korean and English is required
