Position Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for end-to-end tax matters for LSEA, while also providing tax oversight and coordination for subsidiaries under the holding company.
This role combines hands-on execution at the entity level with group-level tax governance, requiring both technical depth and strong coordination skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage all federal, state, and local tax matters for the company (income tax, franchise tax, gross receipts, and other applicable taxes)
- Oversee multi-state tax compliance and filings
- Lead Sales & Use Tax management for the company, including: 1) Nexus analysis, 2) Resale certificate management and internal controls, and 3) Audit support and responses
- Prepare and review tax provision under ASC 740
- Ensure proper tax accounting and financial statement presentation
- Support external financial audits and tax audits
- Review contracts, transactions, and business activities from a tax perspective
- Identify tax risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Holding Company & Subsidiaries – Group-Level Oversight
- Provide tax review and guidance for subsidiaries under the holding company
- Coordinate tax compliance matters with external advisors and local resources for each entity
- Review subsidiary tax filings, provisions, and key tax positions
- Support intercompany and cross-entity tax matters, including transfer pricing considerations
- Assist with new entity setup, restructuring, and business expansion from a tax perspective
- Support group-wide tax planning initiatives and consistency in tax policies
- Serve as a tax advisor to the CFO on group-level tax risks and opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field
- 8–15 years of progressive tax experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation
- Hands-on experience with ASC 740 (Tax Provision)
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Ability to manage both detailed execution and higher-level oversight
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Manufacturing or industrial company experience
- Experience working in a holding company or multi-entity structure
- Experience coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
- Background in building or improving tax processes and controls
